Training update!

Wellp since my last race/post lots has happened. Sorta. Thanksgiving came and went. The whole family had the flu through Thanksgiving week so no running obviously during that time. Even before I got sick and post race running I felt pretty good but not strong when I ran. I blamed it on the weather cooling down and just how you have to acclimate to the summer I was acclimating to cooler weather. Make sense to me. So post sick I haven't been too motivated to get out there and run. Ive been having about 15-20 mile weeks. Thats pretty average for me but its needs to be much much more. Since Ive been sick (which truly took 3 weeks to get over) Im back to feeling strong when I run. I did a short 4 miles last week at third where I told myself I was going to go balls to the walls and see how I felt. I pr'ed so it felt good. Tonight I did an easy 10 miles with an easy pace in the white tanks with Marc, Deron and Kristen. Marc and I were together and had a good chat about where my training should be. Im glad he told me cuz I needed the motivation. He said I should get my miles up to 50 a week so running the 100k in feb would be comfortable. Thats exactly what I needed to hear to get my buns in gear. So starting today its game on. 10 down 40 to go for this week. diet wise I need some work. I drink too much soda and eat like crap. Im going to start trying to track my calories and what kind of calories they are and hopefully that will motivate me to change my evil ways. I haven't sign up for the 100k yet for Feb 15 but planning on it as soon as funds are available. I can't wait for race day! The end
